The Bruins came into the weekend with an overall record of 8-3 and had won seven in a row as of Thursday night. The team began the Pac-12 South tournament with a match against Arizona State earlier in the day. Earlier this season, UCLA played Stanford twice and split results with the Cardinal. Stanford took the first win in a 3-2 victory, but UCLA bounced back to win the second match by the same score. Prior to the weekend, sophomore Maggie Boyd and graduate student Lexy Denaburg had been named the AVCA/CBVB Collegiate Beach Pair of the Week so they will be a tough pair for Stanford to take down.

Tune in Friday afternoon to see how the third match of the season between these two teams shakes out.
